With the first official launch of Seraphina Grey Summons a Demon...so much happened!
*The book hit #1 New Release on Amazon in YA Loners & Outcasts *The book hit #1 in both YA Horror and YA Ghost Stories & Horror on Kobo *The book got to #2 in YA Fantasy on Kobo
I was blown away and so grateful to everyone who helped me in this journey. And I was so emotional about my grandfather not being here. I never got a chance to tell him my pen name (his name). And just, so much emotion with that.
And then...I was hit with a lot of yuck. Just plain mean cruelty. That was hard. And it crushed me...and bothered me a lot. I had worked so hard over the past decade to keep myself in a safe space online. Protecting myself from the toxicity that comes with social media and the internet. And by launching this book, by going public and promoting my books, I allowed myself to be targeted. But, I was able to work through it and move on—although, it still stings, I was able to channel it in a positive way and view it as practice for anything else yucky that comes my way.
Anyways...
So, in the process of marketing the Grey Sisters Saga...I've been trying to push myself across my comfort line. It's almost against my personality to like 'promote' myself, but that's what is needed to get the book into the hands of the readers who will love them most. And you know what? I deserve to feel proud! And excited! And joyful! My freaking dreams are coming true! I did that! But...as I was saying—in the interest of promoting the books...I actually started a YouTube channel...what?
And I'm actually having a lot of fun with it!
